and every thing is like before

and we sit and snuggle on the floor
the time passes swiftly and our souls meet
i'm wearing a ring and and two kids at our feet
we have our own place, and jobs, and cars
and money, and groceries, and eachothers' hearts
we deeply know eachother, and trust isnt an issue
and when you step out to get the mail, you know that i'll miss you
then out with the kids and in with the dogs
were just about sixty now, and still so in love
we die with eachother, and not a tear shed
for we know that the memories still lie in our heads
i'll meet you in heaven, and then we'll rejoice
because we would have known that we'd made a good choice

and i'll have my husband, and perhaps in my heart, a new fire
but there will always be that void, that missing peice within my heart
and this happy woman i've become will somehow always fall apart
with visions of what we could have been, the house, the jobs, the cars
the kids, the groceries, and gazing up at the stars
and you're still gonna miss me, dont try to deny it
there will always be a feeling like that, and you can never hide it

so let's just wait this out, and we'll see which fate is ours
but for now, let's stick like glue, you to me, and me to you
and we'll let fate take care of it'self,
